Kids Comics Unite helps artists, writers, and storytellers connect with other industry pros, learn the business of kids comics, and showcase their work.
The Challenge
The Kids Comics Unite team created a membership community for kids comics creators on Mighty Networks. The site took off and the team was ready to take the site to the next level. Looking for more flexibility, they wanted to move the marketing side of the site away from Mighty Networks and had tons of ideas and excitement about the potential for a new site. They were looking for someone who understands the big picture of web development, could guide them on the best platform to use, and create a website that can evolve in the future.
The Solution
Using Kids Comics Unite’s brand standards guide, I designed and developed a fun and energetic WordPress site to appeal to comics creators and drive viewers to join the community. The easy-to-use WordPress backend allows the the Kids Comics Unite team to update events, blogs, and content. Using WooCommerce, Kids Comics Unite can also sell tickets to exclusive mastermind events and workshops. I continue to support Kids Comics Unite with ongoing website maintenance.
