Let’s affirm to be awesome in 2014

Last week, I recapped my 2013 in numbers and impressed you with my Candy Crush score and bountiful Houzz and Pinterest perusing. Recapping 2013 was easy because numbers don’t lie.

But when it comes to planning for 2014—it’s a whole different box of puppies. It requires vision, direction, and honest assessment of where improvement is needed.

You’ll be glad to know that I’m just as committed as ever to my creative outlets (keep on pinning!)—but what about everything else?

Using kick-butt affirmations, I overcame hurdles of the past—and this year, I’m going to rock affirmations again. They are still my most favorite way to approach change: Gentle reminders—that with continued use—create new habits that make us even more awesome.

Without further ado, here are my affirmations for 2014:

affirmation-pay-it-forward

affirmation-make-fake-deadlines

affirmation-boundaries-are-bff

affirmation-kittens-cry

Do you have any affirmations for this year? Let’s hear ’em! If mine struck a chord, feel free to print, post, pin, or stick them somewhere as a reminder. And let me know if you would ever consider buying one of these affirmations as a poster—I’m considering making some.

Here’s to a very awesome 2014. Cheers!

  1. I love your affirmations, especially not making kittens cry!

Bummed I’m not going to CFC this year (coincides with my wife’s 40th b-day). Look forward to seeing a recap on your blog. Hope your presentation rocks!
